Number Administration

The Number Administration section contains all the functions for provisioning toll-free numbers on SMS/800. The following tasks are included in the Number Administration section:

Record Management Create new Toll-Free Number records and modify existing Pending records.
CPR Management View Toll-Free Number CPRs and delete local CPRs or modify the expiration date of local CPRs.
Change RespOrg Change the Resp Org of one or more Toll-Free Numbers.
ROC Submit Request Submit a Resp Org Change request via the ROC service.
ROC Management Approve or deny a Resp Org Change request or delete numbers from a Resp Org Change request via the ROC service.
Copy Record Easily copy an existing Toll-Free Number record, 8MS Routing Set or SMS Template to multiple Toll-Free Numbers.
Delete Local Delete local Toll-Free Number records from 8MS.
Delete from SMS Delete Pending Toll-Free Number records from SMS/800.
Disconnect Disconnect Toll-Free Number records from SMS/800.
Edit Plan Editing Call Processing Records (CPR).
Number History View the history of a Toll-Free Number, including number state changes and Resp Org conversions.
Number Lists Create new Number Lists and merge, compare and delete existing Number Lists.
Number Management Update the contact information and notes of Reserved Toll-Free Numbers and re-reserve Transitional Toll-Free Numbers.
Query Query the status of Toll-Free Number records on SMS/800.
Retrieve Retrieve Toll-Free Numbers from SMS/800.
Search Local CarExp View a snapshot of Toll-Free Number Carrier Express records based on flexible filtering options.
Search Local Numbers View a snapshot of Toll-Free Numbers based on flexible filtering options.
Search Local Records View a snapshot of Toll-Free Number records based on flexible filtering options.
Search/Reserve Search for Spare Toll-Free Numbers on SMS/800 and reserve Spare numbers.
Spare Spare disconnected Toll-Free Numbers.

Transfer Modify the date/time of a Pending Toll-Free Number record.
Trouble Number Query Get contact information for a Toll-Free Number or Resp Org.
Undo Record Change Provides an easy way to restore the last old record of multiple Toll-Free Numbers, particularly when the old records are not the same.

Number reservations, activations, disconnects, Resp Org changes, etc., are accomplished via screens in Number Administration.  The result of a single-number SMS/800 operation will be displayed in the bottom section of the associated 8MS screen.  This area is called the response frame. Results of every 8MS operation are also stored in the 8MS Activity Log.  The Activity Log screen is in the System Activity menu section.
